Hi everybody!
Sorry for the absence, today is a bumper version of the Financial Review of the Week as it will also include the finalised ‘My Best Friend’s Wedding’ budget spreadsheet.
So here goes:
FOOD AND HOUSEHOLD SHOPPING

So that leads me on to the food budget…We ended the month with a total expenditure of £166.44 meaning for the first time ever we were in budget by a good amount…£33.56 to be exact.
Which we spent on a Five Guys meal on Thursday. We know how to live.

TOTAL SPENDING THIS WEEK £36.15
AND THE BONUS BUDGET…..
BEST FRIEND’S WEDDING
When I found out my Best Friend was going to get married I predicted that the full costs of everything were going to be around the £500 mark.
Instead the full costs of everything was £335 and here is how the costs broke down:
HEN PARTY (TRAVEL TO, FOOD, DRINKS, ACTIVITY COSTS) £153.75
DRESS AND ACCESSORIES £0 (These were paid for by my friend)
TRAIN FARES (ALL RELATED COSTS) £49.25
PRESENT £100 (I had one of those sealed pots which I had been putting money in for nearly a year, I cashed it in at the start of May and had £90 which I rounded up to £100, to any friend’s reading this I want you to know I will do the same for your wedding/important life event 🙂 )
TAXI’S £8
DRINKS £24 (I had a great time with gin and American Pale Ales that were so local they were brewed on the site of the wedding)
So that was the week that was.
In order to pay back the boy as quick as possible I have got myself into a ‘cash flow’ problem as I now have only £36.16 to spend until next payday, A MONTH AWAY.
Which normally would be plenty but…..
I am going to a football match
We are celebrating the boy’s Dad’s birthday
I have to buy a father’s day present
I am going to a gig
I want to get a close friend a birthday present
Things will be tough, but I’m sure I will survive.
I don’t really have a choice.
