Today I learnt a new word: Tsundoko.

Don’t ask me how to pronounce it.

It is a Japanese word that means: ‘The constant act of buying books but never reading them’.

I ‘tsundoko’ all the time.

That is why when I sold my books recently they were the first to go, the books I bought to change my life which I then never read (a sign I wasn’t ready to change my life?)

These books, you might have noticed, have mostly come from the Library.

When you have no money, and are doing a no spend year, you make good use of the library.

The boy has spent most of the year telling me to put down the finance books, that I got that shhh covered, and that I should pick up the books about being a complete mental f***wit (my words, not his).

I, naturally, didn’t listen to him, and instead continued to read about people not spending any money, or about interest rates, etc.

I am paying for it now.

So this is the weekend’s haul of books, plus a few of my own that have been neglected.

I am going to learn about mindfulness, depression, exercise, running, social anxiety and a lot about Hygge because I think the fact I keep hoping for Autumn/Winter and am panicking about running out of candles means I am a Hygge fan despite initially thinking it was a marketing ploy to sell socks and scarfs to hipsters. They have enough socks and scarfs!

I have been under the weather today, and hope to be fighting fit for tomorrow.

I think an early night is a must tonight.

I never thought I would say this but I miss the darkness of night. I want to be cosy. I want to be hygge.
